ABOUT UNIVERSITY

The International European University! It is the most modern multidisciplinary university of European level!

Reforms in the higher education system have prompted the institution’s management to look for opportunities to significantly raise higher education standards, bringing them closer to European ones.

Thus, the mission of the University is to bring Ukrainian education, science and culture to a new quality level in order to integrate them into the European and world space.

Our university is the place where a completely new approach to student education has been introduced. The educational process is organized in the light of European curricula, a significant fund of printed pages has been collected, subscriptions to dozens of world professional periodicals are in operation, a powerful electronic library has been created, and access to several leading world libraries is gained.

The training is conducted by experienced teachers who perceive higher education in a new way and are ready to teach and prepare a completely new generation of professionals who would be experts in modern methods and tools of practice, and fluent in professional English vocabulary.

The scientific and pedagogical staff of the university has extensive professional experience in training of highly qualified specialists. More than 80% of teachers have a degree, academic title and international practice.

Combining the experience of Ukrainian higher education with European and world standards in various fields, the university provides a high level of higher education, international competitiveness, a bright student life. University students take part in international conferences, have many opportunities for internships both in Ukraine and in other countries, undergo summer internships not only at settings (enterprises) of Ukraine, but also abroad, in particular in Israel, Italy, Slovakia, Poland, etc.

The university has a modern material and technical base: 100% of the university’s auditoriums are equipped with media; the latest teaching methods are introduced, innovative technologies are used, clinical departments located in the leading medical institutions of Kyiv are created, using the most modern diagnostic and medical equipment. Departments are equipped with educational and methodical literature, computer and office equipment, multimedia equipment, modern furniture. The training process and material and technical base of the IEU meet the standards and requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. But we do not stop at this level – we do everything to prepare specialists who will be in demand in Ukraine, in Europe and in any other country in the world.

The International European University provides disabled people and other low-mobility groups with unimpeded access to buildings, training laboratories and offices, reading room, library, and assembly hall. Students with disabilities, wheelchair users can not only move freely to public places and comfortably meet daily needs and rest, but also have benefits when enrolling in university.

Much attention at the university is paid to research work. Interesting and useful optional classes are held. Well-known healthcare professionals, top managers, successful business representatives, international lecturers, tutors, etc. are invited.

At IEU, you will see firsthand the principles of student-centered learning in action, not on paper: we involve students in active participation in the creation of the learning process. Any decision of management on the organization of the educational process is made by agreement, including students as its party.

Non-resident and foreign students are provided with places in the university dormitories, which are located in the heart of Kyiv. All rooms are renovated, with new furniture. Convenient transport links are only within 20 minutes of reach by metro to the school building, which is located in a cozy green area.

“Regulations on the organization of the educational process at the International European University” is a document that regulates the organization and implementation of the educational process at the International European University.

1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
   • The educational process is an intellectual, creative activity in the field of higher education and science, which is being conducted at the University through a system of scientific, methodological and pedagogical activities and is aimed at the transfer, mastering, multiplication and use of knowledge, skills and other competencies of the learners, and also on the formation of a harmoniously developed personality.
   • Educational activities at the University are aimed at:

• creation of conditions for personal development and creative self-realization of a person;
• formation of national and universal values;
• creating equal opportunities for youth in obtaining quality education;
• preparation for life and work in modern conditions;
• development and implementation of educational innovative technologies;
• the democratization of education and the educational process;
• the development of lifelong learning;
• integration of Ukrainian education into European and world space;
• provision of social protection of students and scientific and pedagogical workers;
• responsible attitude towards own health, environmental protection;
• creation of the most favorable conditions for the life of society.
  • Educational process is organized on the principles of science, humanism, democracy, continuity, independence from the influence of any political parties, public and religious organizations.

Training of specialists at the University is carried out step by step or continuously by the educational qualification levels “junior specialist”, “junior bachelor”, “specialist”, “master”, “doctor of philosophy” according to the level of accreditation.

Educational process is carried out by educational units:

• faculties
• Departments,
• clinical centers,
• university clinics,
• university hospitals,
• Clinical hospitals, etc.

In order to carry out the educational process, according to the decision of the Academic Council of the University, educational, educational and scientific institutes, complexes, training and production divisions of professional training, laboratories, training centers and other specialized complexes may be created in accordance with the current legislation.

Training of foreign citizens is organized by departments of the University (centers, faculties, etc.), which are responsible for the training of foreign students.

Activities of educational units are regulated by the Regulations approved in the established procedure after consideration by the Academic Council of the University.

The rector (prorector) and the heads of the educational departments (head of the departments, heads of educational, educational-methodical, information-analytical departments, etc.) are responsible for the quality of the educational process at the University.

• The University provides scientific and pedagogical workers and students with means of education (educational, methodological, scientific, technical and other means) in accordance with their material and financial capabilities.
• The language of study at the University is determined by the legislation of Ukraine and the University Statute.
• The Regulations on the organization of the educational process are approved by the Academic Council of the University in accordance with the law.

FOUNDATION COURSE:

ACCOMMODATION

While getting education, all the students are provided with comfortable rooms for living in hostels for students. All the rooms are provided with the Internet access, TV set and telephone. There are bathrooms, lavatories and kitchens for students in the hostels. Usually, students use accommodation facilities on the sharing basis. All students’ hostels are safe and secure as they are under the protection of the police during 24 hours.

Educational process does not only consist of exams and tests. Students’ life is a unique world, full of hopes and joy, exciting events and fascinating new acquaintances. The university is a so-called city within the city, which has everything one might need. Various sport competitions and charity events are being held at the University, and a number of humanitarian missions from the University have been sent abroad. The students can visit the Central Medical Library, the Museum of Medical History, a botanical garden, an animal facility, 3 students’ hostels, a volunteers’ center, a publishing house etc.
